This training course is designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to safely supervise work in tilt-up construction. The course provides a combination of meaningful theoretical instruction with practical training based on simulated tilt-up construction situations and practical application on-site of safe tilt-up construction procedures. This course is suitable for those who supervise tilt-up construction activities.
This course is based on the requirements outlined in the Regulations, Code of Practice, and Standards and includes:
- Worksafe notification requirements
- Recommendations from the Code of Practice
- Documentation procedures
- Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
- Emergency planning and response procedures
- Construction sequencing
- Crane operations
- Propping techniques
- Inspection requirements
- Emergency response protocols
WHAT TO WEAR
All participants of this course must dress in neat casual attire and wear closed-in shoes.
Post course assignment and logbook will be required before the Statement of Attainment is issued.
For all WA participants only: it is a recommendation that students attending this course have previously completed one of the following courses:
- 51203 Course to Contribute to Safe Tilt-up Construction;
- 51629 Course in Contribute to Safe Tilt-Up Construction;
- CPCCCM1007A Carry out tilt-up work safely; or
- CPCCCM2011A Carry out tilt up work safely
- CPCCM1016 (A) Identify requirements for safe tilt-up work
- CPCCOM1016 Identify requirements for safe precast and tilt-up work

Must have:
- Basic English literacy skills
- Construction Industry Whitecard
To successfully complete this training there is a requirement for all students to complete a logbook for a period of six (6) months.
The logbook is to show evidence that you have erected a 6-tonne panel, this must be under the direction and supervision of the site supervisor and engineer.
Students will not be issued a Statement Of Attainment until the logbook has been verified and approved by the RTO.
Upon successful completion, participants will be issued with the following Statement of Attainment relevant to their industry area which will be recognised nationally
