The RII30820 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations is suitable for those already working as or seeking to become a skilled operator working with civil construction plant. This role typically applies a broad range of skills in a varied work context, using some discretion, judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. Persons in this role may also provide advice to others and support a team.
Site Skills and Competency Training’s course utilises various delivery methods depending on your circumstances. Please note that training and assessment in this qualification require access to facilities and equipment in a relevant work environment and/or simulated work environment.
Participants undertaking this qualification are provided options to allow them to complete their training in a format and timeframe most appropriate to their previous experience and qualifications.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, but a moderate English language, literacy and numeracy skill level is recommended. Participants will undertake a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) assessment prior to enrolment to identify any educational support needs.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Please enquire regarding the availability of RPL.
To be awarded the RII30820 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations qualification, participants must achieve competency in twenty (20) units of competency, consisting of:
- Fifteen (15) core units, and
- Five (5) elective units.
